In this hands-on workshop during Seeds Philly, we will learn about the history of the higüera and its connection to Indigenous Caribbean culture. Then everyone will paint and decorate their own gourd using designs inspired by Caribbean nature, history, and culture.

During Seeds Philly weekend, Tchin will demonstrate how a tipi is raised and share about its history, significance, contemporary uses, and design.

The tipi will remain at the entrance of Cherry Street Pier throughout the weekend. No registration necessary.
