    Native Courting Flute Workshop Series with Tchin

    Join us for a virtual drawing workshop focused on self portraiture. Internationally known, multi-award winning artist Tchin will guide participants through the artistic process, allowing them time to reconnect with their inner selves and come away with a powerful expression of their voice.

    TCHIN (pronounced 'chin) is an internationally known, multi-award winning artist, and educator of arts and culture.
    Inspired by his heritage, Tchin interprets tradition, culture, and history into contemporary, sophisticated, wearable art. He has been featured in Vogue Magazine, collaborated with Cartier, and received numerous national awards for his work. In addition, he is an accomplished musician, flutemaker, folklorist, educator, author, and clothing designer.
    Tchin was born in Norfolk, Virginia and lived in rural Virginia and Rhode Island where he received his early schooling. He attended the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico and graduated from Rhode Island School of Design. He lives with his wife under glorious New Jersey skies and looks forward to many visits from his four daughters and ten grandchildren.
